Beck Associates is an organization that stems from the practice of S.W. Armistead, C. E., founded in 1922. N. Merrill Beck, Jr. became a partner in 1957 and the firm name was changed to Armistead & Beck Consulting Engineers. In 1975, in the light of the expanding practice and staff, the firm's name was changed to Beck Associates. Today, our company is strongly established in standards proven for 90 years.

The Principal
At the helm is our President and Licensed Professional, Joe Beck. Joseph A. Beck, the son of the late N. Merrill Beck, Jr., has worked in the family business for over 30 years. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer and a Land Surveyor in the State of Virginia. Trained in the setting of a small family business, he had the opportunity to learn and become proficient at a wide variety of Engineering and Surveying services. Under the direct supervision of his father, also licensed as a Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor, he received professional training that other Engineering and Surveying outfits cannot offer to its employees. He also received the family values and ethics. He began as a youngster, from the beginning. Today, he offers diverse services to the community with the same quality that has become the trademark of the company.
